Our Goal

Refresh Africa started with the simple idea of building a well to provide clean water in the small village of Yonibana in Sierra Leone, Africa. Because of the success of the project we have decided to continue to build wells and expand by creating an irrigation system to support agricultural development. This project could not have become what is has without the help and support of schools in our area as well as the people who participated in our walkathons, donated to the fundraisers, and dedicated their time to the development of the wells and the project.

Team Meeting

Water Sierra Leone was our first project in building a well to supply the people of Yonibana, Sierra Leone with a fresh and clean water source. We partnered with Owasso High School to build the town's first solar powered bore hole. The team organized a walkathon and sold honey to fund the project. The project is ongoing and we are currently working towards building our second well.

Through our Capacity Building program, we have the potential to make real and positive change. This is one of our key areas of focus here at ACEBE, and a source of much success for our Volunteer Organization.

We see every challenge as an opportunity, and our Economic Development initiative helps ACEBE ensure that those we serve are better prepared to persevere in the unique situations they find themselves in.
